Why do we test?
The Ontario Fire Department utilizes the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center for a written test. We also utilize the FCTC for their physical agility test which is called the CPAT. These tests together are what the Ontario Fire Department use to rank candidates in the selection process. These tests are offered all over the state of California and are typically good for one (1) year. The department has the option to utilize the biddle physical agility test in lieu of the CPAT. This is dependent on the requirements on the job flyer.
